Slow-release potassium
Lower solubility than KCl or K₂SO₄ means less leaching. Release improves when mixed with compost.
Natural potassium from Egypt
We recover glauconite at the El-Gedida mine, where it is usually stripped as overburden above the iron ore, and turn it into Agri-K-Organic: a slow-release potassium fertilizer and soil conditioner.

Egyptian glauconite
Glauconite is a natural green mineral rich in potassium. At Bahariya Oasis a layer about 25 m thick sits above the iron ore of the El-Gedida mine, and miners usually remove it as waste. We put that layer to work.
An Egyptian ore that cuts reliance on conventional potassium sources.
Farmers have used glauconite as a potassium fertilizer for over 100 years.
Agri-K-Organic
Lower solubility than KCl or K₂SO₄ means less leaching. Release improves when mixed with compost.
Uniform grains, high cation exchange and pellet micropores raise water and nutrient retention.
pH 6.71–7.59 and salinity 0.056–0.128 dS/m, far below nitrogen fertilizers (up to 12 dS/m).
Supplies Fe, Mg and traces of Zn, Co, Ni and Mn that support metabolism and N-fixation.
Suited to new sandy lands thanks to water and nutrient retention.
Roasting with CaCl₂ at 750–850 °C converts K into leachable KCl.
Applications

Process
We recover greensand while overburden is stripped above the iron ore.
We grind the ore below 1 mm.
We keep the 125–250 µm cut and reject clay fines.
We test K₂O, heavy metals, pH and salinity.
We fill 25 kg bags on an automatic weighing line.
Quality & safety
We tested eight elements in two El-Gedida samples, east and west. Every result came in under the limit. Figures are ppm, so the Bahariya Oasis ore meets the CFIA heavy-metal specification.
Lab results are strong. Field trials on Egyptian crops are still needed.

FAQ
A natural green mineral found in sediments that holds a good share of potassium. We mine it at Bahariya Oasis and turn it into a fertilizer and soil conditioner.
Yes. All eight elements we tested in both El-Gedida samples are below CFIA limits.
It releases potassium slowly, so less is lost to irrigation. It does not acidify or salinize soil, and it adds iron and magnesium.
